How to report Instances of Corruption to the National Police commission

The Constitution of Sri Lanka has vested the Police Commission with the power to establish procedures to entertain and investigate public complaints against a police officer in the police service.

The mission of the National Police Commission is to improve efficiency and the independence of the police service and equip it to operate as an effective instrument in ensuring the establishment of law and order in the country and thereby contribute positively towards good governance.

If you would like to make a complaint in relation to the duties of a police officer please make a complaint to the National Police Commission. If you are uncertain whether the matter falls within the jurisdiction of the Commission, or you are unsure about how to prepare your written complaint the staff can advise you.
